Traditional Agriculture
   returns to Sheepcote Valley            Saturday 18th Feb

         10.30am— 3pm.                        ( BACK to Traditional Agriculture Day )
See Percheron cart horses at work in the North end of the valley,  Come to    the carpark in Warren Road, or
               Downland Road bus stop, Woodingdean.

 Meet the farmer; and horses - Ivor, Chantney, Polly and Diamond.

Amazing Grazing near the cafe, East Brighton Park (off Wilson Avenue). Dogs on leads welcome.

With support from the Friends of Sheepcote Valley, the Council's Countryside Service will shortly be re-introducing grazing into part of the hillside.

  • Meet the shepherd, his sheep and sheepdog.
  • Discover why grazing is important for wildlife. 
  • Children can have a baarilliant time taking part in craft and games.
  • A circular Health Walk links both sites.
    Starts at noon from the cafe, arrives back in the park at 1.30pm.
