Jan 2009 Hedgelaying

The border of the Valley with Wilson Avenue is hedged. The hedge is now quite tall, and the decision has been made to try hedgelaying. Hedgelaying is an ancient method of thickening up a hedge to make a “fence” - originally to secure stock animals. Such hedges are much favoured by birds and other wild life, so will help build up the Sheepcote environment. For more details on hedglaying check out www.hedgelaying.org.uk
